It took three years to get the design of Kiosque right. This modular pavilion for public spaces was commissioned by Emerige and Galerie Kreo, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and manufactured by the Nantes-based Ateliers de La Machine. The pavilion combines an elegant look with some innovative technical solutions. It can be transported on an ordinary truck and put together in less than three hours. The protruding roof, made of panels that can be folded back on themselves, provides shelter over a well-lit deck that amplifies the usability of the outdoor space, establishing continuous interaction with the interior, thanks to side panels that can be sliding, glazed or solid. After being displayed in the Jardin des Tuileries so that people could decide what they thought of them, the structures have now been donated to the Paris municipal authorities to be used for social and cultural eventsCourtesy Musée du LouvreCourtesy Musée du LouvreGo to the gallery
