Corporate and brand identity is much more than just graphics, it's all about the strategy and image a company wants to express to their audience. Creating this type of work requires knowledge on an array of design subjects including, color theory, typography, form and materials. For this post I would like to feature the work of a great friend of mine, Roger Oddone. It's the brand identity for a business called Taiama. Roger says that Taiama is the name of a bird that flies low over the water surface with the lower part of the beak skimming the water foraging for fish. The shapes and colors of the bird served as inspiration for the stylized symbol of Taiama. The typeface was based on circular forms that follow the same visual language of the symbol.about Roger OddoneRoger is a branding and graphic design based in San Francisco, California.
